Khunkae's Juice Bar

Sunday, 16 July 2017

If you remember my smoothie bowl phase not too long ago... you'll know that I'll be struggling without my Nutri Ninja whilst I'm away. After a heavy week of eating more than the recommended amount of Thai curry's in Bangkok, I was definitely ready for a detox.

Our flight into Chiang Mai landed at midday and I was thirsty.

We checked into Manon Hostel and decided to have a mooch around Chiang Mai's old city.

In Bangkok the fresh smoothies/juices are already super cheap, normally around 80-120 baht (£2ish) so when we stumbled across Khunkae's Juice Bar on Lane 7 offering juices for just 40 baht (less than £1), I didn't even have to think twice.

WHAT A FIND!

Friendly staff greet and seat you beside the cute decor of open parasols and an abundant amount of sticky notes left by adoring smoothie fans on the wall.

The menu has something for everyone.

They also have a daily specials board out the front and they can make whatever combo you like!

I chose Spinach, Avo, Banana, Ginger and Lemon and added Spirulina. Probably one of the best green smoothies I've ever tasted!

Michael went for Strawberry, Banana, Coconut and Passionfruit. MEGA YUM! I'll be getting this one next time.

Two huge, filling jars of fresh smoothies for less than a sugary orange juice from Starbucks!

We've already decided that we will be back at Khunkae's the next couple of mornings for our breakfast.

Check out the other amazing reviews and if you're in the area I definitely recommend checking out Khunkae's Juice Bar.
