Happy Father’s Day Grandad

Sunday, 18 June 2017

My Grandad is my hero, my absolute rock.

A Grandad, a Dad and a best friend all rolled into one.

The most amazing man I know.

My Grandad is 84 years young, has a heart of gold and all the manners in the world.

He lets me get away with murder, spoils me rotten and still to this day will stroke my head and call me his ‘little lamb’.

We’ve had so many memories and many more to come.

He plays the trombone (very well), sings lead vocals in a jazz band and has toured all over the world.

Give The Swale Valley Stompers a listen… Track no. 4 is my personal fave as he dedicates it to me when I go to his gigs.

When he was in New Orleans someone told him that Louis Armstrong sounded like HIM.

He starts his day standing on his head with a light yoga session.

Something broken? Don’t worry… Grandad will fix it.

He is the handiest man of all handy men. His garage is the ultimate man cave… he has one of everything.

He is the most selfless person I have ever met and he will do anything for anyone.

He grew up during the war and has some amazing stories to tell. During uni we made a short documentary about his experience.

He is always the voice of reason when I’m in a pickle.

When I get married he will be walking me down the aisle.

I am so proud of my amazing Grandad and I just wanted to say I love you so much.

Happy Father’s Day to the best Grandad in the world and thank you for being you!

All my Love, Luce xxx
