5 reasons to drink green tea every day
I drink at least three cups of green tea every day and if I don’t I feel grotty.

If I was reading this post five years ago I wouldn’t have even made it past the title because ew green tea, right? Well... I’m usually a Yorkshire tea with two sugars kinda gal, and if you don’t brew the teabag for at least two minutes I don’t even wanna talk to you.

But when I started university in 2011, many moons ago, I fell in love with green tea.

It was NOT love at first sight though. At first I thought it was the most disgusting thing I'd ever drank… (and I’ve had some wild liquid combos at pre drinks in a fishbowl before a night out in my times)

But I stuck with it because I knew it was good for me.

Here are my five reasons why you should also drink green tea everyday:

Got a cold? Have a green tea

I’m one of those people who never get ill. I owe it to healthy eating (most of the time), regular exercise and GREEN TEA. It's packed high in antioxidants which helps to boost your immunity. Sip on the green goodness to reduce the strength and duration of your symptoms.

Feeling anxious or stressed? Have a green tea

You can rely on green tea if you’re having a bad day. It helps to increase alpha brain waves which supports brain enhancement for better daily performance. For over 4000 years green tea has been known as a calming drink, and now we know why!

Need to shift a few pounds? Have a green tea

Green tea is calorie free! It’s also a natural fat burner which accelerates the metabolic process, making it easier for you to achieve your weight loss goals. Drinking green tea after a big meal can help de-bloat and soothe your full tum.

Want pearly whites and healthy gums? – Have a green tea

Don’t bother wasting your money on silly ‘quick fix teeth whitening products'. Just reach for a cup of the good stuff. Green tea improves your oral health and can help prevent gum disease. One study also found that it can combat bad breath too, in a test that compared it to chewing gum and mints.

Want to stay young forever? – Have a green tea

Ok, not forever but y’know. Ageing itself is a chemical reaction within cells under the skin. From this toxins are created.  And yes you guessed it, the more toxins, the older you look. By taking a sip from the fountain of youth morning, afternoon and evening you can protect your skins for longer as it helps by slowing down the ageing rate of these cells.

You don’t even have to force it down either. There are so many nice flavours available in most supermarkets and online that are regularly on offer. Some of my faves include Mango & Passionfruit and Lemon Pie.

Don't drink too many in a day though as it does have caffeine in it. Try matcha for an even more intense hit, packing the same power as up to three cups of normal green tea.
