Creme Egg Brownie Bombs

Wednesday, 29 March 2017

Some days I can conquer the world and other days it takes me three hours to convince myself to shower.

Today is one of those days... we call it 'hump day'.

It's mid-week and even your coffee could do with a coffee.

Your sweet tooth cravings are start to kick in and you should definitely feed them cos how else will you make it to the weekend a sane woman?

What do you fancy?  A brownie? A Crème egg? Both?!

Well now you can… because The Brownie Bar in Newcastle has created the most heavenly combo of a whole crème egg snuggled inside an extra gooey, moist salted caramel brownie then rolled in crushed chocolate flakes. They also offer a whole caramel egg covered with a chocolate brownie if crème eggs are not your thing. The bombs are £3 each and you *could* share between two.

On my dinner hour I popped to Eldon Garden shopping centre, which is a 10 minute walk from my work, to visit their take out bar and pick up one of these beauties for my mid afternoon snack.

You’ll need to try them yourself to know how amazingly rich the flavour is!

If you’ve given up chocolate for lent, I strongly recommend one of these bombs being the first bite of heaven that passes your lips to celebrate Easter.

They are best stored in cool conditions in an air tight container, have a 2 week shelf life and can be frozen for up to 3 months, but I’m betting these babies don’t even last 2 minutes!

The Brownie Bar have also opened a dessert cafe literally a few streets away from me in Heaton. How can I resist when I’m less than a stone’s throw away from rich chocolatey goodness?

If you’re not in the area you can order these bombs online along with a selection of their other popular flavours here and receive them first class. Only thing is that you will need to choose 16 to qualify for delivery, but I’m sure you can make something work there *wink*

…thank me later

Love Luce x
